Stuck in southern part...teleporter not active

I have not activated the teleporters yet. I made it to the southern part through the Ossuary. A gate is shut in the Ossuary that won't let me backtrack through it. I have one saved game dating back to before I got here. Am I stuck to the point that I will have to resort to this old 'saved game'? Here's hoping!

Wow Thanks! I had been there but just figured they would not work. This saved me about 3 levels!
