Sound setting

I have all the sound turned off, yet I still here sound when I walk through water, or when I get hit etc. How do I turn these sounds off?

The volume knob on your speakers.

There is no sound option for adjusting overall sound effects volume. This has been fixed in the Book II engine.

It would be nice in a patch, if there ill be one. I usually listen to CBC radio or a CD on my PC while playing. It's annoying to hear all the grunting or splashing going on.
