Where'd my amulet go? and do i need it?

I hand the triangular amulet from the crypt, I took it to lylith, I brought the Queen bee sting to her, and when she asked for it, I did not have it?
It was gone. Before get the crux which required a triagular amulet as well could the depository keeper have accepted the wrong amulet
for I still have amulet 26? Or did some nimble fingered npc steal it from me.

I thought that maybe I sold it, but none of the mechants seem to have in their inventories.

Anyway what do thing happened to it, and can it be regained? if not Is the game effectivly over for this player and do I need to start again.

If I am reading this right, you are saying you went to the depository and already have the crux? If so then you would no longer actually need the amulet.

Yes, I have the crux, (I did word that badly)
I also have found my brother. and the assassination evidense,

At that point I headed east searching for the bandit camp, Instead I found the bee cave and so obtained the stinger and took it to Lylith
It was then I discovered the amulet was missing.

I have checked with all mechants and can't find it, With the exception of one who was killed when he joined in a battle I was having with some thugs.

If you already have the crux, you do not need the amulet anymore. The crux had a letter with it that explained everything. Lilith was going to tell you about the signifiance of the amulet and where you can find the vault.

Since you already have the crux , you no longer need that information. Did you received the reward for bringing her the Stinger? The journal should show the quest as completed.
