RPG Vault has published an article regarding the options players are given while playing Eschalon: Book I. There's an exclusive screenshot there as well, so get over there and check it out! Extra special thanks goes out to RPG Vault editor Richard 'Jonric' Aihoshi for giving us the opportunity!

Hey I just read the article, man I loved that. That quest could be expanded further depending on your choices....like say you bash open the crypt and the crypt taker notices the next morning and calls the guards(or whatever) or if you kill him there is an invstigation...wow...the potential is insane.

I don't think any game has taken the thought process of your actions really effecting the outcome of the game to that extent.

Very impressed and waiting to hear when you guys get closer to beta:)

Our main objective while developing Eschalon: Book I has been to create a world in which these kinds of options are always available to the player. We want the player to be an active participant of the game, and not just feel as though they are following a script from beginning to end, hoping that the random dice rolls are in their favor.
Even though this sounds like something you have heard before, I must admit that the article just sounded awesome :D

Hopefully we get to try some of this our selfes soon

Wonder how Jonric heard of it? Lord knows I've been spamming the URL of this site in every board I've ever posted in during the past 8 months.

I used to play Diablo with Jonric, waaaaay back in 97. Good guy. Has a good "RPG Sense" too. Figures he'd give Basilisk a break and showcase their game.

Free publicity is good!
