I suppose I should know what they do, since I've used them in other games, but that was a loooong time ago! Those brain cells died, I guess.
So...what do the different consumable items in the game do?
Thanks in advance for any replies
When the long night is behind you and the sun climbs the sky once again, fly with the birds on the warm wind: sing a song of joy, for you were smiled upon while you slept.
I can't recall the exact numbers but apples will give you a tiny bit of mana back if you are down. dried meat, fish and I think bread will give you 1-2 points of hps back. Consuming them while at max will just 'satisfy your hungar or thirst'. Not eating will not take away hps in book 1. Book II will be different, so I read.
Sometimes the dragon wins... Help save the earth. It's the only planet with CHOCOLATE!
i must say food was really awkward in this game. At first, I was worried if i didnt eat, my char would probablly be acting slow, roll bad dice and such forth. I guess I'm happy that my character didn't have to keep eating as that would have been annoying, but wish food did something more useful.
I'm pretty used to food being useless in games, so... I expected them to do not much but heal me a little.
I've always found it strange that food can heal wounds....
So... as it's useless in other games, yes: Just as useless here. But in other games at least if there's food it tends to do more than heal you a couple points?
Not that it bothers me. Personally, I've never liked the idea of having to eat to survive. Even in real life.
Certainty: a character-driven, literary, turn-based mini-CRPG in which Vasek, legendary "Wandering Philosopher", seeks certainties in a cryptically insular, organic, critically layered city.

I just wish life didn't cost money to exist. Eat, rent, shelter... Perhaps thats why we enjoy video games so much, it is it's own reality and escape. And hopefully II will cheer up my wonderful procrastinations
Yeah, a pretty meaningless number. Better to quicktravel to Blackwater and take a dip in the well.

Accidentally clicked on Use with the larvae. Yuck.
The only consumable item I can think of with a specific use in Book I that is more meaningful is the apple. You only need one, though. People who have obtained all the Easter Eggs know.
Yes, I did the Easter Egg thing and only because i learned about it on the forums. That puzzle was impossable. And i really hate things in the game with no obvious clues. This is probablly one of my biggest pet peaves about this game, maybe even more then rerolling.
The apple gives 2 pts mana, I believe.
I am sorry to hear that you have to eat in Book II. I've never been fond of that in other games.
A little off-topic for this thread; I do have an Easter Egg. Guess I'll search the forum for info.
