Hey foody-

We've discussed a few times already...you would not want to try and make your own maps using the tools we have!! :D The editing tools we've made are very raw and without any documentation. It's only because we use them everyday that we know what all the key commands do. The scripting engine set has no documentation and is very fickle about formatting.

We would love to release an editor because it would only help further sales, but it just can't happen with this first game. Probably down the road at some point we'll have the tools up to "public release quality".

Is that a promise?! BECAUSE NOT ONLY will it increase sale to have a full scale easy power editor but will GENERATE infinite amount of awesome world (games) using this superior engine. The community will be stronger with the editor and we can have unlimited fun with this engine...PLEASE promise.

An editor is always nice, but they're a huge amount of work to make presentable to the game's audience.
And it's never a good idea for a game dev to promise *anything* unless it's an absolutely 100% no chance of failing guarantee. We all know how game forums are, a dev says "feature x would be nice" and somehow that becomes "I promise feature x will be in!" down the road when the game is released and feature x is not in. It's not pretty! ;)

@Gallifrey

But you understand my deepest desire for this particular feature to be in, right?

Sorry if I'm necromancing, but I'm also very much intrested in a world editor. That is, being able to edit NPCs dialogues, avaible skills to the PC and, of course, layout of towns and wilderness :)
