Hello !
I got the game for 12 euros in a second-hand shop (I live in France). I know it just has been out in budget version for 20 euros, and it seems an add-on is coming soon.
I'm not sure I can try it soon, my computer is barely powerful enough to run it. I don't even have the needed 128 MB on my graphic card, but that may possibly work ; the 10 GB of HD space it seems to need is a problem though
, I'll have to erase things...
I read quite bad reviews too ; the skills and spells look neat though.
I'll let you know if I try it

Hello everyone,
I was playing Silverfall before Eschalon was released! The copy protection on the DVD makes it almost impossible to install unless you have very up to date DVD drive. I had to copy the contents of the entire DVD to my hard drive to install it. I am running it on a 3.0 GHZ Pentium D, 2 GB Ram, 256MB GeForce 7800 and it runs like a horse on three broken legs. People with dual core machines, more ram and better graphic cards have reported the same problem. I thought it was my machine, but Titan Quest ran flawlessly. The game is very pretty, excellent graphics, the story is average, but has a unique twist in Nature vs Technology.Pick a side or no side. The equipment you can use is based on your choice. It is an Action RPG. Think Titan Quest without the polish and a very bad save system. You can save at anytime, but when you re-load you will be in the last city you visited. And all the monsters you fought before will have re-spawned. This fact is annoying because unlike Titan Quest Silverfall is not linear. With Titan Quest you would come back to a rebirth fountain. The monsters do respawn but you only have to fight the ones ahead of you. You do not have to go back! Silverfall will send you back and forth meaning you will be killing the same monsters you killed before. Also the distance between cities can be huge (making for long gaming sessions). If you are killed you will re-spawn in the last city you visited without the gear you had on! Your gear is left where you died as a tombstone that you can go back and collect. So you have to carry an extra set of arms and armor. Strange, your inventory is uneffected by your death. But you can buy insurance to prevent this from happening. In Titan Quest you lost experience, here you lose your gear. Like I said I was at the end of the game about to fight the big boss and Eschalon was released. I will go back to finish Silverfall, but right now I am having way to much fun with Eschalon. Let me put it to you this way. I am glad I only paid $5.00 for Silverfall. After I tried the demo for Eschalon I purchased Eschalon the day after it was released with the CD for full price. Eschalon is hands-down the superior game.

I have finished Silverfall, after playing through Eschalon twice, once as a paladin and then a mage. The ending for Silverfall blows chunks. Silverfall is a clickfest festival. If you can pick it up cheap you might like it. But, beware the copy protection on this game is a bear. Performance it not all that great at times. See my previous post in this topic. If you want to know the ending read below.
After defeating the big boss. Salma comes up to your and greets you as your majesty. You reply Your Majesty? She saids "yes who better to rule Silverfall. You reply yes indeed. Let's go back to Silverfall and help Baliza to rebuild. It then shows you pictures of all the lands you crossed and some of the people you met. The credits roll after the pictures. Monte Cristo does thank you for purchasing the game at the end.

Re: Silverfall
I'm waiting for the PSP version before i play.
For a hack and slash game it looks ok.
