Alas I have been playing these games for over 20 years, D&D, AD&D, then on to others like Cyberpunk, Vampire the Masqurade, Werewolf, Rifts, Car Wars(though not as roll playing just the car wars), Paranoia, Shadow Run. I have to say I really loved Rifts alot, very detailed alternate Earth. I still prefer a 1st-2nd addition melding over all the new addtions. Though the one thing I never understood about any of these games, besides rifts, is their lack of allowing you to increase physical stats. If I work out I get stronger, if I do cardio work I get a better constitution....etc.

I guess it really don't matter too much any more, at 42 my wife won't let me go out and play. LOL

Necromis, I am three years ahead of you--(grins)--and as far as Wives go, I got lucky. She is extremely into immortals such as vampires and the like, so she understands my love of fantasy-based reading, movies and of fantasy-based RPGs of all types (console, computer, pencil and paper).

Maybe my wife could talk to yours...LOL (x2).

Very cool, Dragonlady. I found something I want on the first page already: "Bits of the Wilderness: Into the Mountains."

I've been working for years, now and then...mostly then, on a Dwarven realm beneath the mountains for a campaign, and any written word, such as the book above, is always welcome.

I'll have to get into the site more to see what other riches they have there. Thanks for the good find-!

I love that site. I have gotten more pdf's and useful information from there than I have in all the years I've been gaming. And the prices aren't bad either, especially for 1st and 2nd ed. Dnd/ADnD stuff. I mean $4.99 for Players Handbook or DMG or... I have most of the major hardbound books but the modules and stuff I didn't have much of cause I couldn't afford it way back when. Heck didn't even know some of those existed, especially stuff from Britain and elsewhere. :) It's much easier to pop on the computer and check my files for stuff than it is to dig around in boxes any day.

Thanks for that site Dragonlady....

I found an interesting game on that site I'm going to check out now. Its called mutants and masterminds, IW as a huge hero's/marvel rpg fan back in the day. This one looks interesting, I never did get to check out champions although I wanted to.

I wonder if I could get anyone interested in doing an online game of mutants and masterminds after I read up a bit.

EDIT: Well I picked up the three main books of D&D 4.0 for a good price seems like an easy game for my son to learn. I will let you guys know how it goes, seems pretty easy to pick up and go.

I added to my comment with the inclusion of D&D info so I thought I would get it a bit more attention since editing it did not out thye thread as a new info.
