Mithril bar

Help me please!

I'm stuck in the Elderhollow cellar looking for that bar of mithril. I've passed the traps, found the room with the bed and the key, opened the portcullis using the lever, but I can't pass the portcullis in the most southeastern part of the cellar, the one in the room with pillars and broken stuff. I presume that is where the chest with the mithril is.

How can I open that portcullis so I can get to the chest with the mithril bar???

I however, have not gotten past the traps in the cellar and need help on how to do so, particularly the one with the sign just before a bunch of plates on the floor with Stingers

There is a pattern to the traps. Stand at the southwest corner and move over one north and step forward. Then follow the diagonal to the northeast until you are through the traps. It helps if your combined spot hidden and perception are over 30 since the traps will light up red to help avoid them.

What's nice is that if you manage not to set them off, you can use them to your advantage on the way back out. Salamanders are not smart.
