Eschalon: Book I up on Steam!

Just loaded up Steam and I noticed in the news that Eschalon is now available.

Too bad Steams horrible scoring system is dragging its rating down. Well that and the 2404.org review just sucks. I've never heard of any of the "critics" they have reviewing the game.

We should all go give our own reviews so the user scores are up there at least...

I bought it on Steam the day it came out for 4 reasons

01: It's on Steam
02: The Pricing for Europe was fair
03: I love RPGs
04: I tried the demo for 10 minutes and really liked it

Today I finally finished the game as a fighter. One of the greatest RPGs I played so far.
I've never seen a game with the possibility to let the "evil side" win and just chicken out. And the destroyer ending was very rewarding.



Will Book 2 come to steam? Will there be Steam-Achievements for book 1 or 2 (if book 2 should come to steam. It would actually be great to have the in-game-challenges turn into Steam Achievements so I could show off a little )


PS: What does that bout outside the lighthouse do? I killed the Chancelor got out alive and tried to take the boat. It still said it was not a good time to use it.

It was for an add-on side quest that never got added on because the Book I engine wouldn't handle it without more work than was reasonable. So, the boat just sits there.
