New guy's important question

Post by F77 »

I finaly found out about this game, i've been looking for an rpg like this for a while now, its hard to find a decent one these days... i played the demo and got addicted!
now, the serious part. I really want to buy it, but first i'd like to know some stuff to make sure i know what to do in case something goes wrong(i hate when something goes wrong and im not prepared for it :p):

i've checked how i plan to pay for the game, i'll use the plimus credit card service.
so, after i pay for it i presume i'm given a download link and, for the threads i've read, i believe i'll also receive a serial number or something(not sure about this part though).

now, imagine that while i download the game, i have to stop it, either cause i need to turn off the pc or cause my internet disconnects or something, can i resume the download later? or will the link become invalid(and if it becomes invalid, what do i do to get another link?)?

what if, for some reason, the serial number is incorrect/already taken/etc? what can i do to get a new one?

for now, i think those are my only questions...
oh! and one last thing:
i'm tempted to buy the Eschalon: Book I, but i suppose Book II is better, is it worth waiting for it or should i just buy the 1st one, then, after i finish it and the 2nd is release i'll think about buying it?
Basicly by if its worth or not i mean will the 2nd come out soon or will it take a few months?

thank you for your time...

You'll get a download link for the full unlocked version. You do not need to use a registration code.

I don't think you can resume the download if you stop it, and there are time limits as to how long the link is valid. But anytime you need a new link you can email us and I'll get it sent out to you right away.

We don't use serial numbers for Book 1.

I say buy both! You can play Book 2 without playing Book 1, but the overall storyline might be better for you if you played game 1 before game 2. But our goal if for both games to be fun RPGs on their own.

considering how i liked the demo, i'll probably end up by buying all 3!!!
but i think i'll start with the first...
thx for your answers.
the not being able to resume it is fine with me, i usually have a high download speed, but sometimes its really slow and i end up by having to turn off my pc cause i need to go somewhere or something. anyway, good to know that even if the link gets invalid before i manage to download it, i can always count on you guys.
and if your games keep improving, or even just stay as good as they seem to be in the demo, i'll probably get them...

once again, thx for your faster-than-i'd-hope answers.

The full version is 108 MB (Mac version) so you can calculate your download time and figure out when you have that much time available.
