Demo Quests

Hi! Am trying the demo, love it, am going to buy both Book 1 & 2..have a quick question for anyone..can all the quests in the demo be finished within the demo? Or will I need the rest of the game before I can finish them? Asking cause I can't get the rest of the game yet and it will make me crazy if I can't finish them in the demo..lol...totally addicted.

You can begin the central quest in the demo, which clearly you can't complete, and there are a couple of other quests that require you to go to places you can't reach in the demo, so no, you can't do all of them.

However, you can do Garreth's sextant quest, make Father Michael's delivery, and find the bar of metal that the blacksmith left behind in the burnt out starting town.

You can also locate the missing book that Abygale wants.

You do get to find the results of the first two letters in the demo.

My recollection (and admittedly it was over a year ago that I played the demo before greedily buying the game and playing it seven or eight times through with different builds) is that you can't actually go down into Eversleep in the Demo, only open the door. I think the only "dungeon" you can enter in the demo is the cellar in Elderhollow.

thanks to both of you for the answers, not quite what I wanted to hear..I know I can't finish the central quest, but I am in the dungeon of Eversleep right now..walking corpses are not fun for my magic user..lol..I'll beat them yet

thanks again, at least I know what I can do...means I cannot finish the quest for Mary's husband either..right?

Cannot get to Mary's husband in the demo. That is correct. A quick helpful hint about walking corpses. They (and other creatures) will not cross fire to get to you, and if you hold down the shift key you can throw at a spot on the floor, rather than an actual creature. You should be able to work out a highly effective strategy from that information.

Thanks for the tip Kreador...I used fire and decided guerilla warfare hit and run tactics would work in this particular case..it did...didn't see your post til afterwards though..should have thought of that myself..duh

I was able to find Abygale's book and enter the crypt (same zone). Deliver Father Michael's potion is the same zone as the sextant.

You couldn't enter the crypt in a test version of 1.04.

Hi...Thanks for all the replies, I was able to do everything except find Mary's husband and of course the identification of the amulet and the quest from delivering the potion.
