Truespace: Free, dying, but educational!

It is a Blender'ish thing that has gone free, non-license bound, and apparently will cease to be availble entirely along with all else on the site come any time now since a few months back as per the founder's letter on the homepage that indicates Microsoft finishing things off. Biggest bit perhaps though? Video tutorials...gobs and gobs of them. Long ones that run for hours! For anybody looking to learn on 3D designs and such, this is one of the most comprehensive things I've ever come across. Surely some nifty bits in there Indie and otherwise as their little community tries to circle wagons and do things with their freaking server program also up for the chopping block same as the lot of it.

Now's the time to save and watch anything if there's ever been one though---for as great a download speed as I got today for all I know the site could be gone tomorrow and it wouldn't surprise me in the least. I can only hope Wiki, or Archive.org, or something somehow manages to preserve the educational content for posterity. I pretty well sunk the entire day into this and feel quite amazed that I quite literally come out of it with over 24 hours of education in return.
