I've seen a lot of remarks here and other places that suggest that +3 is the highest level you can enchant your armor/weapons. However, I just saw an Adamantite axe with a +4 enchantment for sale. This leads me to believe that you can go higher, maybe even +5 as it seems to be a more sensible cap than +4, but I have no desire to waste valuable points on Alchemy as I'm more than a match for enemies at level 21 with a +3 on everything.
Anybody tested this? Just curious, I don't really need a debate and I didn't bother taking a screenshot. Just wanted to let you guys know there may be more options for powergamers on their fourth playthrough as I know you love this game as much as I do. I've played long enough to find tons of items that aren't in any of the FAQs I've seen.
That's all. Happy gaming, can't wait for part 2.

As far as I know +3 is the maximum that you can enchant things too. Now it is possible on rare occasions to find an object that is already enchanted to +4 but you, the player, can't enchant anything past +3.

Correct, to the best of my knowledge. And that's been since the beta testing for book 1.Unclever title wrote:As far as I know +3 is the maximum that you can enchant things too. Hopefully book 2 will go slightly higher or on more objects.
