need some help :(

Post by shio'n orin »

Please help me with following things:

1. I can't complete the quest to bring divine ore back. I have been in every place available and haven't met any bandits with that ore.

2. where is the third Easter egg?

3. what is widget, that doesn't belong to that world, for?

4. for what are thin key and odd key? I had been carrying them for all the time in vain :(

5. for what usage are ash, salt, weapon fragments (merchants are saying it's important thing), sealed urn e.t.c.

thank U beforehand

You haven't looked everywhere, then. This spot can be hard to find, but it's along the path between the Ossuary and the screen where the gate into Crakamir is. You find a Barrean Mercenary standing by a cave. Lots of puzzles in the cave to progress, so bring plenty of light. ;)

There's a post with the locations of all three easter eggs. Highlight the space following this answer:
One is in the town where you start, one in the Ossuary by solving the four chest puzzle, and one on the same screen as the Giant camp by walking through all the spiders to the back door.

It has no use in Book I. There's a hint that it may find its way into Book III.

There's a list somewhere here what key goes to what door throughout the game. Some of these doors get opened by others most of the time (a goblin walks through one of the locked doors in the maintenance level all the time, making so you don't need that key, for instance).

Salt, weapon fragments, sealed urn, and lots of other odd things are of no use beyond selling to vendors (except the weapon fragments, which aren't even good for that). Ash has one use in the game to solve part of a riddle involving your question #2.

Oh, OK - I did it! It was me!

The list of keys can be found in The (Non-Goblin) Keys thread, specifically this post.

HTH! :)

I know you probably stopped wondering about where some of these keys go by now, but I just discovered something that perhaps got missed in that key listing (well, I haven't looked at it, but...).

I got the quest to get the locket from the brother's room in Grimhold, and the woman who gave me the quest gave me an old rusty key that was supposed to get me into his room.

Well, so I'm wandering around Grimhold killing goblins and looking in containers, when I walk into a room, open a container, and there's the locket! A goblin had wandered by the locked door while I was fighting them, and opened it.

I'm sure this was not the intention of Basilisk Games, but there it is, and now I've got a key that I know goes to a door that I cannot unlock with the key because it's already open, so I'll just chuck the key in the container the locket came out of and be off to deliver the locket.

I'm not sure, but this may have happened with at least one other key I have, especially considering I'm carrying around about 6 or 7 keys right now, and they can't all go to rooms I've never visited (well, at least I know one of them I've visited).

Oh well, back to the game, just thought you'd like to know one other possible solution to the mystery of the keys that won't go away.

See, I'm neurotic about these things because even if I'm certain the key is not going to find another purpose I'll still hang on to it, just in case.
Certainty: a character-driven, literary, turn-based mini-CRPG in which Vasek, legendary "Wandering Philosopher", seeks certainties in a cryptically insular, organic, critically layered city.
