Gamespot has a quick-no-pictures-preview writeup of the upcoming DLC for Borderlands. Seems like the developers were playing too much Left 4 Dead when they were designing this... and that's a good thing.

Having beat the game twice and approaching a third and fourth (on a 2nd playthrough for my Siren and Berserker), I can't say I'm not looking forward to this. As one person commented on the DLC...
nice 6-10 hours of gameplay. Thats longer than the entire modern warfare 2 campaign and for around $10

Playing it on the 360. I'm liking it. Comparisons can be made to Fallout 3 with regards to the environment and shit, but I think the real similarities are with FarCry 3. I'm really digging it. I've always liked FPS games (sometimes there's that urge in you that only FPS's can satisfy..) but I really hate how most new FPS's are a 3-4 hour experience. I don't give a shit about how much depth the gameplay or story has, I just want a long f'n game to quench my thirst. Borderlands does just that. Combat is way fun, and unlike FarCry 3 there are some RPG elements to keep the whole feel of the game balanced. And I absolutely LOVE the whole pixel shaded graphics. My eyes hurt from seeing all these fancy uber realistic graphics, and seeing such a colorful environment was totally refreshing. 8/10. My favorite game of the year so far... let's see how Dragon's Age: Origins is though. Digged everything BioWare has ever done, Mass Effect and KoTOR being my favorites, and a mate described it as being "Bioware going Bethesda" which should be interesting...

edit: But yeah, satisfying game and I can play it for long hours at a stretch without worrying about what the hell I'm going to do when the game ends + THE CO-OP MODE IS KILLER! Oodles and oodles of noodles sprinkled with fun...
