Many of you have asked about the monster profiles we published some time ago, and the reason they aren't up "officially" is because I needed to get the links updated for the new website. Anyways, here they are for any of you that did not see them when they were first published:
Catacomb Rat
Mire Troll
Sentinel Stalk
Brimstone Spider
...and this destroyed page, discovered to be removed from the Biological Encyclopedia Preeminence.

Re: Book II Creature Profiles
Oooooh - we get to meet the Orakur
This has so many interesting possibilities - are they friendly, are they enemies or are they something in between?

That destroyed page is top notch work BW. I hope you guys can get something like that worked into a great teaser for book 2 ... I'd really like to see some more publicity for what you're doing here this time around!
Re: Book II Creature Profiles
BasiliskWrangler, all I want to know is if you watched The Roadrunner show and enjoyed the Latin names they gave at the start of each cartoon to Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner? They were always fun to read, as were those of the creatures for Book II! When I read the ones here it made me smile and remember the cartoons.
Thanks

Thanks for the link! Brought back soooo many memories from my youth and did answer a few questions I've had nagging in the back of my head.Faithful wrote:BasiliskWrangler, all I want to know is if you watched The Roadrunner show and enjoyed the Latin names they gave at the start of each cartoon to Wile E. I loved watching it. And was surpised about the sheepdog and wolf connection.

Yeah, the one I had never forgotten (at least as I remembered it as a kid), was "Gluttonus Eatumupus" (spelling, I know is likely wrong), I always liked that one!

Re: Book II Creature Profiles
Anyone think the Orakur are somewhat similar to the Vahnatai (from the Avernum series)?
Will crystals give spells? (just kidding) I always thought the infusing of magic into crystals was a cool idea - just look at the Protoss from Starcraft...

My swords may be sharp, but so are my wits. I will first draw them and many think I never draw my blades; they are mistaken. It is because none have ever seen them ALIVE... because of my firey breath of course -The legendary Dragon Samurai

(Longtime lurker's first post.)
These look pretty darn cool. Especially the Mire Troll, I can't wait to see it in the game.

Nothing is something, because it is the state of the absence of everything, as well as being a word in the english language and an idea formulated by mankind to attempt to describe the conception of the lack of everything.

Nice of you to surface, Riggon. Welcome. Unlike the creatures, we don't bite.
Well, except maybe Saxon.
And Crazy Bernie might nibble a bit.
Evnissyen just goes around crying "I have no teeth and I must chew."
