Hello :)

Post by palirond »

Hello everybody,

I got this game for my b-day not while ago but didn't have the chance to play it until now. And well, I have been playing the game for the last couple of days and I am enjoying it so much, reminds me the old days of Baldur's Gate with a bit more simplicity in graphics ( I don't care much for graphics if the gameplay and the story are good ). The game story is great in my opinion and the gameplay is smooth and fun.

I have recommended about this game for my friends (The linux and mac support really helps) And I'll keep doing so, just wanted to say hello to the community, and at the game right now I just told the poor lady ( Forgot her name) in North Parish that I found her husband's body and gave her the ring..She told me about the chest but since I am having hard time getting into grimmhold since the only door there is locked and I didn't find the key and I don't have many lockpicks I need to go all the way around (Hoping there is a way ).

Either way, I do have a question..What is the Dungeon fever disease? I can't seem to get rid of it and I've got it on me from the eversleep cemetery...

Looking forward for book II & III(If there's gonna be one.) And I beg for basilisk games to release some sort of this game to the Ipod/Iphone system :)
Palirond.

Check the magic shops for a potion of "Cure Lesser Disease" to get rid of Dungeon fever. You can buy lock picks from the inn keeper in Aridell, but you have to have the lockpick skill to use them. To get to Tangle Tree forest without going through Grimhold, go all the way north as far as you can, then west to Border Town, then south west to the forest. Look out for Hive Drones though :!:

For pretty much every locked door, there is a key, but you can also just bash them down if you don't want to worry about finding the key. Hold down the shift key when you click to force-attack an object.

In addition to Cure Lesser Disease, Father Michael can cure you of Dungeon Fever, but he's expensive. Make sure you have full health and mana when you talk to him or it will cost you even more.

There are two routes around Grimhold, in addition to the two ways through it (above ground, which you can't yet do where you are, and under ground, where you'll need to go to be able to do the above way later).

And welcome to the community.

That's why I suggested buying potions, Father Michael is not only expensive, but he is kind of a scumbag too.

He is also hypocrite: he always tells you money doesn't matter, and all that stuff (also as an excuse to drive you into giving that potion for free); but that damned S.O.B. constantly reminds you his church accepts donations...

I've already found out about Father Michael scheme with the Goblins. But I still haven't found the key to grimhold fortress so I guess I'll be taking the long route (I've specs my char in bow & short blades, so most of the times when I try to break down a door my weapon ends up breaking when the door's not even under 50%).

Either way, thank you very much for the warm welcome :)

If you have one point in unarmed combat you can use your bare hands to bash doors, chests and barrels with NO LOSS of HP. I always grab unarmed at character creation just for such occaisions. I have to know what is in EVERY barrel I stumble accross!
