picking locks

Post by Donleon »

in eschalon book 1 you had the skill to pick locks and you had a chance to fail and a chance that your lockpick breacks (or open the thing). That was easy to avoid you just could save before any lock and pick as long as you open the thing or you break a lockpick. with this technique you can open every lock without loosing lockpicks. it would be an nice idea that you must save after you tryed to pick an lock.

I know my english is perfect :D

Donleon, your English is fabulous. ;)

I believe that in Book II you are given a couple options to limit or remove the "save and reload" cheat, including saving the random seed so that you always get the same result when you save and reload (though in a different play of the game entirely, you might get a different result in the same place). These are options that you select when you start your game, so if you like to reroll to get different results, you have that option, and if you like the challenge of playing with what you get and don't want the temptation of rerolling, you have that possibility.

That's nice to hear. It's good to know that you can set the difficult in Books 2 yourself because for me Book 1 was a little bit to easy :P. Gramuk was a joke 8) 1 of these elite guard's could kill him. Hopefully the and boss of book 2 (if there is an end boss) has a lot of bad trick's.
