Bought online near when when it came out. I guess it was a download link rather than a code. I read your response to a similar post and contacted Basilisk directly. They send me a link, but it didn't work. I was redirected to Plimus (their agent) and they need the credit card# I used to buy it for verification. HA! I had 5 cards going at that time and most of the numbers have changed since then. My only shot seems to be digging through old boxes and scanning 40 or 50 old statements to find a reference to either Plimus or Basilisk. I guess I'll just wait for Book II.

Where is your stamina? :P

As I understand your post you contacted Basilisk Games, they sent you a new download link which didn't work, and then when you told Basilisk Games they redirected you to Plimus? And Plimus will only help you if you provide them with the credit card number you used to buy Book I with?

When you made your purchase you should of received an email from Plimus, a receipt of your order. Plimus won't accept your order reference number, account number, order date, name, address and email from this receipt?
That e-mail receipt would probably be on his hard drive, which crashed. ;)

However, depending on the e-mail service, it may still be on your ISP's server. I know my GMail stays forever, and another of my e-mail servers I discovered had e-mails going back 5 years (when I had to reinstall Mail at one point, it couldn't deal with the 18,000 e-mails).

AOL was my ISP at that time, but I last year I switched and just use AOL as a mail server. I'll check there, but I think they clean you out after you 'defect'. If Plimus accepted Paypal I probably used that, but my Paypal records don't go back that far. And I usually used my Debit card online, and those records only show the checking account number, and not the actual number on the card at that time.

I should probably just bite the bullet and buy another copy.

Then burn the install file on a disc. That's what I did after a drive crash.

HU-RA!!

Solved!11
I found an old back-up of my last hard drive. Eschalon was there and I transferred it. (I'll also burn a new copy.)
Thanks for the help.
