When you purchase the game you can use your current game.
The game is now done in a shareware format where the demo you downloaded contains the full game. Purchasing the game gives you a registration code that unlocks the areas beyond the demo area.
You enter the registration code in the starting screen when you start the game and click register to gain access to the rest. No need to download again until a patch or new version comes out to correct bugs and typos in the current version.
