[spoiler] Regarding Edwin in Port Kuuldan

Post by ridcully »

Why has Edwin turned against me? I killed the spiders and on the way back to him he attacked me right away. I had to kill him and also slap a innocent bystander to keep the guards off me. I hope he does not provide vital quests...

Question for you: How did you get into Port Kuuldan? Did you just pay the 2000 gold, or is there a cheaper way to get in?

There is more than one free way into Port Kuudad... look for an alternate route... or the correct credentials...

There are several ways into the Port. Those you suggested, finding a 'Writ' somewhere, or going in the 'back door'. You'll have to find that way yourself..though a small hint might help. Have you gotten a small quest to retrieve some metal for a blacksmith yet? If you have, check the whole place out.

Edwin is only good for turning in a quest.

How did you kill the spiders? Using spells like super nova or mass boil may have injured NPCs and angered the town.

Not true, he's also good for a few XP and a +1 toward the Hellbringer quest.

No collateral damage! Just Abyssal Freeze L4. To my knowledge it attacks just one enemy and the whole battle was concealed within the walls of the building where the spiders reside. I also had the quest beforehand -- so no trespassing.
