New Aveyond game and discount bundle

Post by MyGameCompany »

The latest episode of Aveyond, "The Lost Orb", is now available through Reflexive for only $6.99 USD. If you buy through me, you can help support my indie site. As an indie developer myself, I'd be most grateful. Here's the link:

(Of course, you can also get it from Amaranth Games for $10.00 USD if you want to support the developer directly. She is also an indie, by the way!)

Also, Reflexive is offering the first 4 Aveyond games as a special discount bundle called "The Aveyond Treasure Chest" for $13.95 USD (50% off) for a limited time:

Of course, the Aveyond games are only available for Windows. (I know - I'm bummed about that too)

Thanks BW, for letting me post my indie RPG news here!

Just went on to your site for a look, then tried the"Games" page to see what else is there.

When I clicked on the "Windows games: Adventure/RPG" it sent me to:

Is this a hint that I should really get a mac ......

Thank you very much for finding that error! And for reporting it! I'll get it fixed tonight when I get home from work. In the meantime, here's a direct link:

It looks like a cool game\RPG, but it's only for Windows! :(

A Macintosh\Linux conversion?

This game is made with the RPG Maker Engine, and there has not been a Mac/Linux distribution that I am aware of.

Yes, unfortunately games made with RPG Maker are Windows-only.

I've been able to successfully run the game on my Mac Pro using both VMWare Fusion and Parallels. The scrolling is a little jerky in places, but it's still quite playable. Of course, my Mac Pro has 2 CPUs, so one CPU is dedicated to the virtual machine. Single CPU Macs, like my MacBook, can't run it as well.

I haven't tried running it on Linux using Codeweavers' Crossover Games product. I'd be interested in knowing if that worked.
