No Torches?

I played a quick session of Book 2, about 2 hours, just for a try to wait the Mac version or first patches, and I noticed there was no torches in any shop of first town. I end in pick some on walls. Is that on purpose?

Yeah I noticed the same thing, I ended up taking them from towns and dungeons. Once I got Gravedigger's Flame and Cat's Eyes it didn't matter though...

If you play a mage/healer it doesn't matter much but for a quick try I used the pre build rogue with no magic on start and it's a little strange. But ok there's much more torches to take on walls than in Book I. All in all the positive point is that it adds some mood to a rogue play, it's just surprising.

Something to check out. I think I recall him having some once in a while. Taking torches from anywhere you can is a good idea, BUT, don't over burden yourself in the process. In book 1 some torches were replaced after you took them, not in book 2. You can put torches back up if you want to, to get rid of some you have.

It's amazing how a torch will burn for ever in a wall sconce, but take it down to use it for yourself and it burns out in a couple minutes

Yeah, I noticed that too. I figured it was either a magic metal holder on the wall that you couldn't take down along with the torch or all the bouncing around torch gets while you adventure, not to mention the rain...
