Candle
Re: Candle
IIRC, there is one in the rain barrel near Captain Morgan in Port Kuudad. I could be wrong, but I think it's always there.
Re: Candle
Too bad I had already found and sold/lost that one too. Now I'm stuck without a candle too. I wonder how long I'll be looking for one before I can continue. I remember in Book I noting that some items that I had hoped to find never showed up a particular game. (I played it so many times I knew what to look for.)wayninja wrote:IIRC, there is one in the rain barrel near Captain Morgan in Port Kuudad. I could be wrong, but I think it's always there.
Re: Candle
That's the only one I know of that's 'guaranteed'. Your only choice is to soldier on and hope one shows up in one of the general stores/inkeeper shops or in random loot.
Re: Candle
So nobody's found any other candles? Has anyone even ever seen one in a shop? I've still got nothin', and I'm 3 play-hours further in.
Re: Candle
Just go check barrels in Port Kuudad im sure you find one.

Re: Candle
Try the inn in Everdale or Eastwillow whenever you are nearby. They are the only merchants to stock it. Otherwise it luck that you find another. I've seen a candle as random loot.
Re: Candle
I can replace any misc item with candle if you attach your save game here, but it will be dirty cheat, so better seek for candle in merchants. Wait 8 days, come to merchant. Save game. Then look merchant's goods. If no candle, then reload game and repeat.
Re: Candle
Well it took several hours but I eventually got a candle from the Eastwillow innman, or whatever you call him. They seem to be a fairly rare commodity.
Re: Candle
In another thread BW said that for balance, the appearance of items is based on the value of the item so that cheap items appear in the first part of the game and valuable items later on. This makes sense.
I'm wondering though if this is causing a cheap candle to become more rare as the game progresses. This would not be good for those of us who need a candle mid-game. Could more of them be planted for us to find past the city please?
