How Do You Kill the Prospector?

I found The Prospector under the dam. How do you kill him? I can't even land 1 hit on him. Is there some secret to attacking him?

He's tough, but just tough. I left and came back after I gained a few levels and used more powerful attacks on him, and several potions to keep myself alive.

I suspect you could also place 3 power kegs next to each other, use yourself as bait to lure him next to them, and detonate. Works on most tough badguys.

I'm not 100& sure, but if you are trying to kill him with weapons, you may have to use a Enchanted Weapon spell, it adds +2 damage and enables you to hit ghost.

You have to use extreme prejudice. It's the only way.

Level up, use magic, a magic weapon (with some sort of +damage), or a +damage ring.

The Prospector is an ethereal monster like dwarven spirits, so you need a weapon that is enchanted to do extra damage, but not extra damage like fire, cold, poison or magick since these don't count. Or use a bloodlust ring and/or animal rage amulet.

Two kegs of black powder are more than enough.

I kited him back to the mayor's ghost. He attacked the Prospecter and the summoned skeletons. Its much easier than trying to whittle him down.
