I am not really sure what extras will be going on the CD version yet. We obviously can't start duplication until we are officially gold with the game (which will probably be early next week), so I don't expect CDs to ship until 3-4 weeks after that.
Right now I would guess that the CD version will probably have a very high resolution world map that can be printed, a copy of the trailer in a couple different formats, and possibly some additional music. In terms of pre-production material, there is not much to show you because a lot of it ties in with Book II and III (can't show that stuff yet), but we have put together a cute little series of screenshots called "Evolution of a game" where you can view a dozen screen shots going back to our very first tech demo in late 2004. As you page through the screen shots you can watch the game evolve before your eyes!

I know I've allready asked this (and perhaps this was answered a lot of times).
But I can't resist. And I hope you changed your mind...
Do you think you'll release the demo before the game release (let's say this week or the next)?
Any additional info about the buy and download version?
Will it be possible to save the game on a cd?
Once we have bought the game, will we be able to re-download the game after some time without paying a fee?
Sorry if some of these questions was allready asked. But I'd like to have some infos summarized (if possible).
Thanks!!!!!

Yes, you can burn the downloaded installation file to a CD for backup purposes. Will it be possible to save the game on a cd?
I think Plimus keeps your download link active for 30 days after you purchase the game. Beyond that, if you need to get that game again just send us an email with your sales order number and I can send you a new download link.Once we have bought the game, will we be able to re-download the game after some time without paying a fee?
Neat. I think I'll wait for the CD version, then. I'm waiting for the OSX version as it is... ;-)BasiliskWrangler wrote: Right now I would guess that the CD version will probably have a very high resolution world map that can be printed, a copy of the trailer in a couple different formats, and possibly some additional music.
The heat from below can burn your eyes out!
Im assuming we can still download the game with the CD version so we can play while we wait for our shipment?Supernaut wrote:Neat. I think I'll wait for the CD version, then. Well, it's very stat driven system like a Might & Magic or Wizardry game. The game world itself feels like an Ultima game. Some aspects of the game were directly inspired from Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder. Some testers have made comparisons to Fallout, although I can honestly say I didn't intend to mimic any feature of Fallout.

I intend to do a bit of advertising for Eschalon in the few RPG forums I post. Can I quote your answer to describe the game ?
