Key Shortcuts

Post by Elhoim »

While playing the game, I've found that a key shortcut for changing combat modes would be quite useful, as I find myself changing combat modes quite often during combat, and the back and forth between the enemy and the icon can become a little annoying.

Thanks, and great game, having good fun with it :)

Good idea. Maybe a key to cycle modes and a key for each mode.

Combat mode cycle key would be great indeed :-) I was playing a ranger and switching between combat modes (power attack when using the focus feat, aimed (?) attack otherwhise to maximize the chance of hitting the target) quite often.

An in-game key mapping function would be really nice. Mappable functions can be altered in the config file, but that is not a very user friendly approach.

Pffft. This is a turn-based rgp. The only shortcut key you need is 'x'. ^_^

I'm definitely with you guys on this one. Some hot-key ideas:

1. Switching between weapon&armor sets

2. Cycling between the various attack modes (power, finesse, normal, etc)

3. In general, there should be a quick slot bar for items just as we have for spells. For example, pressing SHIFT+1 activates the item in slot 1 , SHIFT+4 for slot 4, etc. This would take care of special situations where we temporarily want to put on certain gloves or rings that may augment skills, then later move back to our standard weapon/armor config.
