trying opening a command-line prompt and typing

cd %appdata%
dir

If you see a directory called "Basilisk Games", you win :)

If you don't, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will come along before too long and fill you in.

Also, on the main menu screen, try clicking on the version/copyright/language line at the bottom.

Oh, Ssalaxx, I remember noting that feature when I saw it and thinking how handy it would be... but then forgot it the one time I needed it! (to answer this thread). <sigh>

Also, sorry dgrafix that you haven't adapted to "company name/app name" yet, but it IS semi-standard, so I hope it doesn't plague you forever :) the purpose of this semi-standard would perhaps be more obvious if you had both Book I and Book II installed on the same machine. (Or, indeed, the opposite, if you had another piece of software named Eschalon that served a different purpose, and needed a place to put its files. Not that I know of such a piece of software at the moment, but, stranger things have happened)
