Chronograph
I used the chronograph extensively in EB1 in dungeons and caves. I can't seem to make it work this time. Could anyone please tell me how it works?

Re: Chronograph
Unfortunately, in Book II, I don't think they do work.dundonalddub wrote:I used the chronograph extensively in EB1 in dungeons and caves. I can't seem to make it work this time. Could anyone please tell me how it works?

But there's no "Right-click to use." prompt on Chronographs, like there was in Book I.

What did you do with it?dundonalddub wrote:I used the chronograph extensively in EB1 in dungeons and caves. I can't seem to make it work this time. Could anyone please tell me how it works?
I though it would be a more or less useless gadget

Are there any situations where you need to know the exact time?

You'll probably slap your forehead for asking that; Eschalon plays with day and night big time! Sometimes daylight gives you an advantage, sometimes nighttime. It all depends on your skills, skills of your enemies, spells you have, etc.JoeSlow wrote:I though it would be a more or less useless gadget

Example: if you have Cats Eyes, you would prefer fighting enemies at night, so they suffer the 20% penalty to their To-Hit- rating, while you don't - doesn't work against animals with night vision, of course.
Also think about Hide in Shadows and stuff. So if you're in a cave, it's kind of handy to know what time of day it is, to make planning ahead easier.
I haven't come acrross the Chronometer yet, but now I see this post, yeah, that is indeed a nice touch.

Re: Chronograph
Oh, I see.
If you don't want to be in the daylight, the chronograph helps to spend the day in the dungeons and you know when it's time to get out.
That was too easy to figure it out

Re: Chronograph
But I guess not everyone has figured out the chronograph. It's very useful.

Re: Chronograph
In a similar fashion, is the Sextant supposed to work and do something?
Because, if so, it's broken like the Chronograph is.
Just so BW knows...
