Inventory doesnt show potion Description?

Hiya all,

Great game, great community.

Purchased the game last week and been enjoying it but something is annoying me.

I have several potions in my inventory but I dont know what they do?!
Left click with the mouse picks up the potion and just show its name, and if I click right mouse button I drink it...

I want the potion to show me its exact description etc..what it does? like when I click on potions at different merchants....for example Health Potion is saying "Health elixir adds +15 HP"..

I've wanted this too. If there's no possibility, maybe you can save the game, sell the potion to a merchant to tell what it does, then load?

Several of us have suggested options like this, as well as being able to Right-Click on Skills and Attributes in the character Stats screen to get their descriptions, but it looks like those options didn't make it into Book II.

I, for one, will be pushing for their inclusion in Book III though...

The specific problem on the potions end, however, is how do you click on them to get descriptions?! - Right-Clicking drinks them, and Shift-Clicking will just separate the items in a stack, so... what buttons are left to get potion descriptions?!

Only pointing with the mouse without clicking could display after a short delay a description of the potion.

Best way for now is to check in stores and look at the description at that time, even if you can't afford it. Write it down somewhere and make a list. Then when you need to figure it out later, just check your list. Same for what spells do. Check in shops. That way if you find one in a chest and your not sure if you want it you don't have to save, read, check spell list and reload if you don't want it. Then sell it. Saves time, and you know you can sell it sooner. Can't have all the work done for you!


Gads, brings back memories of hours spent drawing on graph paper to make maps of games, like Bards Tales, to find my way around faster and having to write down all the spells and hints.
