Book II Game Rules: Hit or Miss?

Here's where all things related to Book II are being discussed!

How do you use the Game Rules?

I leave 'em all off, because I'm more interested in enjoying the game.

I leave 'em off, because they're more annoying than anything else.

I use some/all of them, but I would have preferred actual difficulty settings (tougher enemies, etc), as I'm not really interested in my score.

These extra rule settings were a very nice addition, in my opinion. I'd like to see more customization in Book III, however... particularly concerning monsters. However, further thought into the rest of my reply has caused me to suppose it'd be best to post this in another thread... one concerning wishes for Book III. :)
I listen,
I laugh,
I think for a while
As I sit in the dark
And smile.

I used all the rules for the extra realism, though I certiantly wasn't upset about the xp/loot bonus. I like this approach much better than the standard difficulty levels, which I find can sometimes lead to ridiculous situations (ie. a rat having 4 times as many hit points as you).

Another optional rule for increased difficulty and realism that occurred to me was taking away your ability to camp anywhere where you can't quick travel. I'm thinking mostly of dwarven mines and the Taurux tower. Given that you're supposed to be sneaking into/storming (depending on your playing style) both places, it seems a little silly that you can sit down and sleep for eight hours without anyone noticing you.
