Lorewitch levers and doors

Post by hackum »

I think I saw a post before about this problem ... but no solution. There is no way to get through this door (after trying all combinations of levers, shooting levers with arrows etc.) There is also a way to lock yourself in a room without any way of escaping. Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Note that each lever toggles the state of a number of gates. Check what toggles which gates and you should be able to figure it out.

It is possible to lock yourself into rooms in the game, just as it was in Book I (I did it a few times). Sometimes you do something silly and there's nothing for it but to load your last save.

This puzzle also took me a while to complete. I finally started to just start over, and work my way though 1 room at a time. Anyway, GJ on doing it. I wish supernova could just blow up gates... That would make the game infinitely easier... Than again, I guess it wouldn't be as fun, just more demonic and sadistic.

Check out my walkthroughs:

Ditto on this being a tough puzzle to solve. Fortunately I had done a save before entering Lorewitch so my retries didn't involve any backtracking. When I finally figured out the proper combination I wrote it down. That certainly made the next play-through easier.....

You can't Supernova the gates, but a strong character could ensure that there's no concern about which gates close. ;-)

You could also drop powder kegs under the gates before closing them.

That is a great idea! Wish I had thought of it. Of course, you would have to have a few spare kegs sitting around..............

I don't see why everyone thought this was a though puzzle, I did it on my first try trying to decide if it even was a puzzle or not. I just ran through pulling whichever lever was available and didn't even put any thought effort into the thing, and still never have.
