Broken entangle

Post by Daemian Lucifer »

I didnt see this mentioned anywhere else,so here it is:
When you entangle something before it attacks,it just walks in place without attacking until it dies,or the spell wears off. However,if the creature attacks you,and you entangle it then,it will keep attacking. But,if you move out of range, and come back, they will not attack again.Personally,Id prefer if the creature would fight back if you were in range, though this way its easier to whack em.

Oh,and version is 1.03

Interesting - this exact same bug was present in Book I, I think.

It seems entangle has some more quirks:While fighting shadow assassins in thieves lair I used entangle and poison spear. So casting entangle when in range seems to do nothing, since they even follow me when I move around the corner. However,if they get poisoned while entangled, they freeze in place.Attacks that dont poison them dont stop them from moving and attacking.

I can confirm that I have also seen some weird behavior from Entangle. I wasn't sure what it was supposed to do, though, so I didn't know if it was buggy or just less effective by design than I had expected.
