Westwillow Chest Electric Fence

Is there a way to turn off the electrical barrier around the chest with Wratihbiter in Westwillow, or do you just have to deal with the damage and keep stepping away to heal (what I did with my mage - I never noticed the chest my first time through the area with my ranger).

This is good for the later lava walking too.. ouch ouch ouch.. the smoke puffs are a nice touch............
