Re: Hexedge
I can't recall the value of it offhand, but I believe there's a merchant later on in Durnore that has enough to buy it. Another alternative is to buy some things you may need or could find useful from one of the merchants (probably the one in Port Kuudad), such as Demon Oil and the potions of Charm Cloud. This could possibly result in the merchant having enough cash to buy Hexedge.

Re: Hexedge
Hexedge, like all of the named melee weapons, I think, is 5000 gold. The specialty merchant in Port K starts with 3000, I think, which is enough to buy it if you don't have much Mercantile skill. Otherwise, as Gorgon Rider says, you have to buy some stuff you need first in order to sell it.
I do agree that at least one of the weapons merchants needs to have a bigger pile of cash for this eventuality.

And the exotics dealer in Port K. (possibly along with the Dwarf blacksmith in Durnore) seem(s) like the most likely candidate(s).Kreador Freeaxe wrote:Hexedge, like all of the named melee weapons, I think, is 5000 gold. But, yeah - not being able to sell top-of-the-line weapons and armor to anybody in all of Eschalon is definitely a 'bug', especially when compared to Book I where this kind of thing wasn't an issue (in Book I, I could take named weapons (and armor), imbue the heck out of them! and I was still able to sell them to at least the guy in Blackwater...).
(I've also noticed that there seems to be a separate issue with weapons pricing and imbuing... if I remember to, I'll bring this up in the 'bugs' thread in the Windows Support forum...)

Re: Hexedge
Well later in the game I'm sure the blacksmith on Picaroon Isle has enough gold. If not, save enough money (2-4 grand), buy your proper expensive weapon/armor then sell the named weapon!
I, for one, like to keep the named weapons. They're the best in the game, and lightweight! Once you get all the feats (boosting helps), you're unstoppable!

My swords may be sharp, but so are my wits. I will first draw them and many think I never draw my blades; they are mistaken. It is because none have ever seen them ALIVE... because of my firey breath of course -The legendary Dragon Samurai
Re: Hexedge
The problem is Picaroon Isle is far too late in the game to be any use IMHO (it's also far too inaccessible too...) - you need to be able to sell this stuff in the Mistfell area, or there's just no point.Samurai Drakon wrote:Well later in the game I'm sure the blacksmith on Picaroon Isle has enough gold. And, like I said - this substantially different than Book I where this kind of thing wasn't an issue.
