Dark Lurking:

Post by Rush »

Did anyone see this movie?

I actually took a look at the preview for it a number of times this month, and thought it looked cool.

Unfortunately, the one day I decide I am watching it, is the same day they take it off the pay movie channel (channel 500 where I am at).

Anyone see it?

If so, what did you think?

Unless it was literally about darkness itself lurking surreptitiously around New Haven, CT . . . no, haven't seen that one.

But this one was damn cool, let me tell you! :D
Certainty: a character-driven, literary, turn-based mini-CRPG in which Vasek, legendary "Wandering Philosopher", seeks certainties in a cryptically insular, organic, critically layered city.

A lurking darkness surrounding New Haven, CT?

Sounds like good ambiance for a very, very wordy Stephen King book.

I like it.

No, no, it wasn't lurking around New Haven, it was lurking surreptitiously through the streets, very late at night, just after all the bars & clubs had closed.

I followed it for a while, but then it started moving into an area of the city that you just don't go into at night unless you want to get accidentally shot . . . or hauled in by a cop because you look like you don't belong where you are at that time of night unless you're looking for a certain illegal substance, a conclusion which might very well seem supported by the length and color of your hair.

...Which is to say: I didn't follow it for very long at all.

I found the Movie at:

http://www.thedarklurkingmovie.com/

Here is the description:

2017: Something has gone terribly wrong at outpost 30, a secret international research facility one mile beneath a remote part of the Earths surface. All communications are gone, all means of escape destroyed and an extremely dangerous horde of creatures is on the loose. For eight survivors, their one possible escape route is through thirteen levels of terror that will lead them to the surface.

Apparently it was released in theaters:

Attacking Cinemas from April, 2010.

The MOVIE/DVD will be released on October 12, 2010. You can pre-order it (if you are interested) on Amazon for that particular date.

http://www.amazon.com/

No, I am not affiliated with the movie, the movie's web site, or with Amazon.com for that matter. Enjoy...

If you take a look at the DVD Cover on Amazon, it displays what seems to be an Alien, or Alien type, creature previously featured in the Alien movies starring Sigourney Weaver.

On the other hand, the Dark Lurking description posted above (from the movie site) sounds awfully familiar...almost as if they "borrowed" the plot of the first Resident Evil movie staring Milla Jovovich.

Anyway, if you are into undead movies, and/or Resident Evil movies, and/or Alien movies, and/or a combination of all three...then this movie might be for you.

In any event, I'll be watching it while hoping that I've provided enough information here for you (anyone) to decide whether or not "you" (anyone) will watch it as well.
