OMG! I cant run demo - error creating "Eschalon Book 1 Saved Games" folder =(

Is it because of localised Russian Win XP installed (it use rus names of folders and files etc..)?

Oh, that is probably the issue. Hmm.

Try manually creating "Eschalon Book 1 Saved Games" folder inside your "My Documents" folder.

Was first thing i tryed - wont help

Looks like game cant recognize name of folders on others languages (well - at least rus )) and in error window it uses strange symbols instead of "My Documents" folder name...

Well - i solve problem.. I was right - game *eat only english folder names - so i renamed folder "Мои документы" in "My Documents" AND not only renamed, but also move all content of it in new folder (Размещение конечной папки = Place of new folder) - usind properties of "Мои документы" folder.

well - the only problem persist atm - cant save game.. "Failed to read save slot #1" error

Is that you, realavt?

I do apologize, we didn't do any testing on international versions of Windows.

The workaround is to rename your My Documents folder to English. Hey, I wonder if you could just create a separate folder called "My Documents" next to your local language version of My Documents. Can someone try this and see if it works?

yes, we did it, as i write early, and its help to run and play the game, but it not allow to save the game... not sure why..
can you please post the savegames folders names and structure here to test?

Yes thats works, otherwise game just not running. But "ingame save" didn't work, guess game cannot create savegame file or something.
