Can you get back into Hammerlorne Mines after leaving ?

I missed the bell and need to go back but looks like the gate is blocked to get to the next passage way to get to level 2 ?

I can Tp to level 3 but it doesnt look like i can get back level 2 from level 3 ?

Am i able to reopen the gate on level 1 so i can get down to level 2 ?

There are some areas in the game where Portal doesn't work. To get to where the Crux you have to travel the route you took the first time. Of course if you killed everything that moved the first time you just have to walk from 'floor' to floor'. The signs by the indoor portal pentagrams tell you if you leave you have to come back the long way. You can go in and out as many times as you wish. Some who have low ST have to do that just to cart all the loot away.

You should be able to move freely between levels 1 and 2 (and I beleive that the Portal spell works fine on those two levels, as well).

On Level 3, if you successfully triggered the Pyrus Dragonel room (so that none of the Dragonels were released) then the passage from level 2 to level 3 should remain open as well, but I think that if the Dragonels were released, then that gate is closed forever (that might have changed in 1.04 though).

Guys, he's talking about Hammerlorne, not Talushorn.

You should be able to walk up and down from the third to the second floor without any problems and from the second to the first. If the gate on the first floor is closed from where you teleport in to the rest of the mine, you should be able to flip the switch to open it again. It's possible (has happened with people on other maps once or twice) that your Hammerlorne Level 1 map in the save got replaced with a "clean" copy with everything in its original state. If that's the case, just go back through and kill everything again (more XP for you).

yer got there in the end. Just seemd confused that the gate was closed on the first map once your enter Hammerlorne. I dont mean the gate where the portal is i mean the gate at the top right.

Anyways I was able to use the portal however and then traverse through which brought me back to level 2...phew.

Got the red bell finally
