Key from Sparrow?

Well, it seems I got stuck on the original quest that led to this topic.
I didn't play very far before, but now I've taken the Crux of Fire, except I don't know what to do next.

I didn't take the key from Sparrow, instead I picked the lock, but the problem is that my journal is still telling me to speak to Sparrow about the key and that I should get the crux of fire. That's not helpful; I've already gained access to the mine and the crux.

How to go on from here?

Try going straight back to Korren and ask tell him you have the Crux. It should move you on from there.

Thanks, I'll try that. It just means that I've got to search really long and hard for my viewing glass, as I've already discovered that without that Korren isn't particarly welcoming, Crux of Fire or not.

how far you've been in or how far is the crux in the mines actually?
