Slowing enemies
Slowing enemies
Do any of the cold spells (or any spell) slow down or immobilize enemies at all? I'm wondering if my ranger has any way to keep enemies at a distance.

Re: Slowing enemies
Entangle spell is supposed to slow down an enemy, but it really only work on weak enemies.
Best thing you can do is watch your position and use parry while shifting to a better location.

You can also strategically use terrain and/or use demon oil to create barriers at choke points or obstacles that your enemies have to walk around, giving you extra shots. The best mode for a ranger in my experience is snipe and run, in general. If you're willing to use magic, then Dense Nimbus (Elemental spell) will come in very handy when you get to Talushorn, as the Taurex Spearmen can hit you before you can see them.
