True. Heavy armors are much more resilient than light armors....thanks for the reminder....so the only differance between the two would then be:
Damage Resistance / Weight / The armor's resilience to damage itself

NICE! I've always loved playing a Holy Warrior type character. From D&D pen & paper days. Paladins / Clerics etc....just love the imagery and idea of a Paladin clad in Plate armor or a cleric in Heavy armor and shield with a Mace Casting Holy spells and turning the undead!

i always hated those selfrighteous bastard clerics in (A)D&D and especially DSA, though.

so you somehow already do know what happend!
for one thing ive been the ahole and ... well after the ugly paladin insulted me (being a mighty mage) i made a bright light come out of his sacred bum (ahole) [may i say that without being banned?]
he responded with physical violence, which i deemed utterly inappropriate at that time.
since our companions stood idly by without taking sides -- did i mention we had been on a wooden ship hundreds and hundreds of miles off the shore? -- i decided the traitors had to die! like all of them.
made myself invisible, took to the skies, to be on the save side in the form of vapor and then launched an assault of fireballs at the wooden ship.
death came swirling down.

Curious how your Character is developing now.

I love playing my Paladin and cleric builds ....just wish there were more UNDEAD
areas.....like maybe a cemetary with an labyrinth below filled with undead nasties

im a t level 10 now, and im trying to make some money to pay those greedy trainers.
ill train divination(5), cartography(5) and perhaps alchemy(3).
ill put my points into bludgeoning (now at 10), meditation (4) and perhaps a bit in foraging (2).

my perception has reached 30. my intelligence is 15 now -- i need to be able to recognize stuff. cant be bothered to pay all the money.
got lore 1 + 4 by two rings that i put on only to identify things.

if you have any more questions about my char, fire away :)

Just curious is all....when i build paladins/clerics i don't bother with intel....just get lore and skill up divine/wisdom....never seem to have troubles...saves me from spending points on lore and intel :D

The Lore spell at 6 will identify every item in the game, no need to pay anyone anything. You just need a Divine Magic level of 11. Also, raising Perception has more benefits than putting points into Meditation for a magic user. The Foraging book and trainer and a couple rings can handle that skill for you to the maximum benefit when camping.

Yeah i've never even bothered with meditation......not even tested it.....perception seems to do wonders all on it's own.

That is true, though I admit that I almost always put points into Meditation as a magic user, early in the game, so that I can reach the maximum MP regen more quickly. Patience is for suckers! :)

I think you mean that patience is a virtue, but you prefer to play nefarious. ;-)
