Identifying

How would my Warrior character go about identifying things? I have a few potions and a sword that I need to identify.

Try an R-click on the unknown item while in a store

i wish i hadda known there was a lore spell before wasting skill points on the skill. also kind of a bummer when you find out you can pay for the cartographer skill after you have spent points on it, also there is a book that gives you the mercantile skill.

Actually is isn't a waste. If you already have the skill you get a second point in it, which furthers the skill and is a little bit handy.
