Anyone pick up the expansion yet?
Yes, I picked up the expansion but didn't like it. All those villagers did is whine, whine, whine! Pay my Debts, I'm hungary, go down and do some mining for me..Arrrgggh! and all the other quest to and fighting demons. Too, too much for me. I have it on my main computer so I've switched over to my laptop just to play the regular game. Don't want to go to the bother to try and delete it.

Just downloaded the demo today. Trying out different character classes and abilities is a big weakness of mine. I've already run several characters through to level 4 or 5 or so to see how they worked. The hybrid option is great. I've only tried one pure Warrior, found it okay but not as interesting.
So far the favorites are the Thief/Archer and Trickster/Necromancer. Playing as an archer involves a lot more hit-n-run, which makes it quite fun, while the thief side offers a couple of good melee attacks and eventual unlocking and disarming skills.

Does anyone play cooperatively?
A question about the archer, do you have to buy arrows? How cheap are they?
For an answer to your last question, it might be a good idea to go to their forums and ask. There are plenty of people stating they are. Over there I'm known as Amberjoy.

An unlimited supply of arrows is magically included with every bow. I don't know why mine are coming out like fire, but whatever knocks the bad guys down I guess.
Sounds good! But I suppose I might have to wait for more a stable internet connection to get PKd!

Thanks.
Sounds like a good idea, in the mean time quest/kill/quest/dig/...
I might try an archer combo in a while. Like I said before, I really like my weaponmaster/thief. Love the whirlwind skill and finding lots of loot skill is nice too.

I found din's curse a couple of months ago while my main computer was in the shop and I needed something less intensive to play.
I absolutely loved the demo and quickly bought the game.
Sadly, it took longer to arrive in the mail than anticipated (i got the retail version and not the download. dumb) and it was at that time I got my new computer built as well. I tried playing it again, but only finished 1.5 towns and haven't played it since.
I do recommend it though! I just had to try all of the newer games first on this bad ass system lol. And now I am finding all sorts of other retro RPG's like eschalon and avadon that I don't have a clue when i'll get back to din's curse.
I must admit I only play it once in a while when I'm bored except for this last week when I've played it everyday. I only play till my character gets to level 18-20. I play a Hybrid - Weaponmaster/thief. If you want really involved action in the towns besides the endless dungeons, get the add-on "Demon War". People in the towns, steal, die of hunger, attack each other and more. It gets a mite drastic at times. There are 'mods' you can use in main game and/or the add on that make it a bit easier, and in my view more enjoyable. Check the forum area. There is a "Help for Newbies" link that is very useful. Din's Curse is real time and not turn-based like Escalon and I don't normally play real time games, but this one has held my interest for this whole year.

Oh good! I hope you enjoy it.
The creator is busy (Alpha testing at this time) a new game, "Drox Operative". it is a space adventure and from the forums discussions going on about it will be very, very well received and full of fun.
