have i really shafted myself??? or will the queen respawn??? necessary quest items should be labeled as such, some are labelled as special and i keep those, but the stinger wasn't labeled as such, just as a weapon with poison. Please help.

i cleared the hive cave already and killed the queen and i tossed the stinger because i was encumbered and the stats weren't good, then i go to liliths house and find out that the stinger is needed for the main quest
