It's got to be cooler than southern Arizona especially now it's monsoon season and the humidity is over 60% too.

They're about the same, Actually. Humidity's currently in the 30's in AZ, and 40's in TN, but the Temps are a tad higher in AZ. Looks like mid AZ is actually running higher though.
Phoenix, AZ: 97F @ 32% Humidity
Tucson, AZ: 94F @ 32% Humidity
Nashville, TN: 92F @ 41% Humidity
We had a mini heatwave last week... temps were in the upper 90's with some rediculous humidity (running 100-104 in the "feels like" range). Had some guys at work who came up from Florida complaining about the heat....

It's not a dry heat. 
Phoenix, Arizona has been hitting 107 to 109F with the humidity peaking in the evenings as the storms come in and the temperatures finally drop.
