Thanks for the quick response, but I can wait for the next patch. The quest isn't bugged, I've got everything I need
I just tried to go back and do some "bankrobbing", but was no way back inside...
Anyway, you done a great work with the game, thanks

Yes, there are combat options. Besides the standard attack, each Class will have an attack style that is unique to them and is based on associated Skills. For example, the Rogue gets a "Backstab" attack option, but only while using a dagger and only while the charcater is hidden by use of the Skill Move Silently or Hide In Shadows.
Can you give some more details on this? And is it only Rogues that get this.
Benedict: there were a few class-specific attack features that were left out at the last minute because of complications in balancing, but overall the effect for Rogues is very similar: Hiding in Shadow/Move Silent does give you some benefits to fighting and protection, so characters built on stealth (such as Rogues) do gain unique combat options.

That's a shame, any details on how powerful these are and do they only work as in the original with short bladed weapons? And is there much experience available for sneaking past creatures?
At the moment my rogue build is feeling seriously underpowered, which is a great shame because I had high hopes for a good rogue experience given the attention to the lighting detail. Given the few items with bonuses to trap disarming (and presumably lockpicking at some point) that seems almost a waste of skill points too, especially since the experience points you get for picking locks seem to reduce the more skill you have which reduces the incentive to develop good rogue skills.
Just finished the game. A little bit confused looking on the credits. Could you please explain me in traditional matters (designers\programmers\artists), who're responsible for game creation? There're very few people mentioned: additional designer, lead tester, executive producer, then special "thanks", testing and more "thanks" - that's all clear. But don't clearly understand what means "developed by"? Lead designer? Lead programmer? Lead artist?
I've read the FAQ first, but haven't found an answer to my question, that's why i'm asking here.
My questions are:
*Am i able to order the CD version of the game from Europe, Hungary? Do you deliver it to my country, also?
*Is the total price 37.95 USD, or do i have to pay an extra shipping fee, or something like that? If yes, how much is the total price of my order to Hungary?
Now i'm playing the demo, but soon i'm going to order the CD version of the game i'm sure.
Another question...
I tried to make a "Pure Ranger", but i met many problems with this type of character.
Am i allowed to make a new topic here, for the questions of the whole profession?
/In my opinion this forum part (Eschalon: Book I) should have sticky topics for all 5 profession types. That could help keeping the whole forum clean./
Well, it's a pity that special attacks for the different classes are removed. I was hoping to see "special rogue attacks" for the rogue class like "backstab" which you mentioned. The good thing is there's always a chance for it to be included in book 2!
Here's some questions related to the rogue class
1) How much more damage does a "malice attack" do? Is it 2x? Or is it the same as a "critical hit"?
2) About the "hidden in shadows" skill, i think it would great if high levels in this skill means that the character is able to hit more accurately in the dark on unsuspecting enemy too. Right now in order to hit an enemy in the dark, i have to use my torch to gain "to-hit" percentage because my "to-hit" percentage in the dark is low, and this makes the usage of "hidden in shadows" seem less attractive.
3) How come short-bladed weapons such as daggers depend on "strength" and "speed", i thought it should be "dexterity" and "speed".
1) Malice attack is not a rogue "skill", it's a Nefarious skill Anyway, it does 2x damage, and stuck with the critica hit (with some penalty), so if you hit something with crit + malice it means 3x damage
2) To balance out the negative ToHit while in dark use spells or potions (Cat's Eye, Predator Sight). Predator Sight is better
3) Agree, small weapons should have use Dex instead of Str.
