Sounds more like the start of a range war to me.

well a range war I could handle. Just don't wanna see candle light, soft music and glasses of wine with the sheep.

Sooo...moving away from the sheep....
Playing for about 2 hours tonight, harvested a ton of sugarcane while building a swimming pool. When I say a ton, I mean, probably 15-20 stacks...that's nuts!

I started wandering again last night. North and East - found some wolves. Not much else yet.

Built a home away from home, and happened to do so on top of a huge mine. Stop by if you're in the area (and feel free to care for the sheep and cows back at the main homestead
)

Found a few diamonds down there yesterday - I have tons of redstone and rail now. Contemplating making a mine-car track that leads back to the main house. My cows and sheep must be getting lonely...

Nah, they're not lonely. Fun Fact:
While passive mobs are not in loaded chunks of the game, they stand perfectly still, and do not roam. Passive mobs also never despawn, regardless of whether the chunks they are in are loaded or not.

I think it's because it would be damn irritating if your massive herd of cows you spent two hours breeding would just disappear.

That's my thought on the matter precisely. I would not exactly be happy if that happened.

Yeah, I saw your chat messages, but not until now. I'll look into it, but I can't think what it would be. Mobs are turned off, I'm sure.
I'll look into today though.

Alright, I found the spot you died at, and put all of your stuff in the chest. Fixed the mob spawning problem (Hopefully for good).
I also followed your path all the way to your summer home. Went into your mine and been looking for some obsidian. I'm going to make you a Nether path back to the home town. That's going to take a LOT less time than overworld.
