Hints Needed...

Post by James Joyce »

First, great game; thanks Basilisk. I have not enjoyed an RPG this much since Ultima.

Now, on to my request(s)... possible spoliers, I suppose.

In the beehive cave, I found a series of six levers that appear to open up some area if switched in the right combination. Did I miss something that tells you the right combo? Surely trial and error is not the answer.

Also, I found a wrecked house in Tanglewood forest that goblins had taken over. Inside in a chest with a locking pin. I have not found anything that shows me the correct number. Again, I'm assuming trial and error is not the proper path. Anyone find anything for this?

Thanks.

nope didn't miss a thing.

old trial and error symetry and once the right combo is set it will be obvious.

ie. not one of those miles in the distance a gate creaks puzzles.

You can get the number for this chest as a quest reward from someone you meet.

maybe if you assisted the stranded woman/owner of the house she'd tell you the combination of the lock to her husband's chest.

I have been looking all over for her husband and/or the ring. Where can he be found?

I think it was the map with the slimes and swamp, east of border town.

Yep, take the dubiously posted 'shortcut, avoiding swamp', kill the bandits, and you'll find his sad remains near a campsite there.

I need a hint or two. I'm on the screen with the town Blackwater. To the NW near the top is water, grass, forest and a bunch of mountains. Part of the mountain is split (where I found a bunch of goblins) going north/south and at the very end I can just make out an open area to the west with a lever. I can't hit the lever with an arrow as the path is obstructed (mountains) . How to I get over there?

You can come from other side later in the game, don't worry about it.
