I think there are some very useful spells, which costs only 2 mana on 1st spell level, but even on 1st spell level they are very useful later on (especialy the spells with just "time growth"), and ok in the begining 2 mana is a fair cost, but later on even 4 or 6 mana it's nearly a free gift compare to the benefit

Yes the magic(k) can be balanced, but even right now it's ok and pleasant. Afterall it's better to be easy rather then very hard and frustrating.
